About Us

Sahara Rural Development & Education Society(R)

Our NGO's work is crucial for empowering women and children, enhancing health awareness, providing skill development, & fostering mental health, which collectively uplift and sustain rural communities

Founded in 2015 in Bhalki Tq, Bidar District, this NGO focuses on empowering women and children in border villages like Alwai, Vangabad, and Saigaon. It provides health awareness programs and skill development training, including income-generating activities such as candle, soap, and phenol making. The organization also addresses mental health education for children and supports hygiene through the distribution of sanitary pads. Additionally, it promotes environmental sustainability with tree planting initiatives. The NGO is committed to improving the overall well-being and opportunities for its community members.

International Democracy Day Celebration

Date 15/09/2024, Sahara Rural Development and Education Society Board members and 30 women members of the organization joined hands with the government and participated in the human chain , from Bidar to Chamarajanagar, on the occasion of International Democracy Day.

Hidden Diseases Awareness Program

On 15/08/2024, in collaboration with Sahara Rural Development and Education Society and public hospital, 20 women of Janata Colony of Bhalki Taluk were made aware about hidden diseases of women, malnutrition and anemia and health checkup was done.

On 15/07/2024, 20 women of Siddharth Nagar Colony of Bhalki Taluk were given skill development and livelihood guidance by Selco Foundation Field Officer ,Raghunath, in the presence of Kavita Macchukure, President of Sahara Rural Development and Education Society.

Survey of Homeless third parties

On 12/01/2024 ,a survey of homeless 3rd parties was conducted at the Municipal Office and Sahara Rural Development and Education Society compound. Chairman and Vice Chairman of the organization, volunteers, municipal officials and staff were present in the survey.
